I've just posted a new article in our library section called the 'McNab
Mantra', based upon the mantra I use for Backcountry terrain
assessment.
Backcountry safety is all about correct decision making. The decisions you make must be based upon your assessment of the terrain you are using and the situation that you find yourself in.

Summer has finally arrived out here and its now hot and sunny and looking good for the Kommunity summer sessions.
Kommunity summer sessions coming this July!
I checked out some web cam footage of the glacier at L2Alpes the other day and it looks like there's tons of snow up there at the moment so it should be great! For those that are joining us, remember its the best of a winter and summer holiday in one so don't forget your summer sports kit as there's plenty to do after riding and you can do as much or as little as you like, swimming, football, Volleyball, Mtn Biking (amazing trails in L2Alpes), lugeing, Bungy, Golf... it's never ending!
Mel has put most of the dates and prices on line for next years courses and we are already getting lots of interest for next season, some of our Voyager courses are already booking up and are nearly full (Mel is going to start a stand by list and see if we can get more spaces for some of these trips so let her know which trips you're interested in as soon as possible!).
I'm working on a few videos that I still haven't finished from last winter so they should be online soon but I keep having to nip up Mont Blanc or some other mountain and so it's taking slightly longer than anticipated.
Right I'm back up in the mountains for 6 days now.
