Voyager BC - Zermatt

Our popular BC Freeride course locates to Zermatt Switzerland!
Zermatt, famous for the spectacular peak of the Matterhorn that towers over the town is also home to some amazing Freeride and Backcountry terrain.

We have previously run 3 Voyager BC trips to Zermatt and have each time scored great snow and excellent weather conditions.

Zermatt is one of those resorts where not many people seem to go off piste and often you can get fresh lines just besides the groomed trails where the off piste riding is excellent!

The best riding in Zermatt however is far out beyond the boundaries of the resort, the spectacular tour of the Schwarxtor is a classic adventure, the Theodul Glacier is accessed right off the lifts and the 4159m peak of the Breithorn is in easy reach from the Klein Matterhorn cable car 3817m.

For those in need of a swift hgeli drop at over 4000m the mighty Monte Rosa, (western Europes 2nd highest peak 4633m ) awaits and offers a single descent of 2500m vertical!

These are just a few of the quality descents on offer in Zermatt, the piste riding here is also worthy of a day or 2 and the Off piste in the right conditions is as already mentioned second to none!

The mountain town of Zermatt is lively and picturesque. No cars are allowed in the town which adds to the mountain atmosphere and increases the risk of you being mowed down either by horse and Carriage or a silent and deadly electric bus.

Zermatt is well known as a town for the rich and famous and you can easily spend your millions on diamonds and watches in any of the many high street shops. On the other hand the food and drinks are not beyond the tight budget of a normal mortal soul and for those in real dire straits a Macdonalds awaits on the high street!

Details and dates to follow!

Please note mandatory avalanche safety and backcountry equipment must be ordered prior to your Voyager course as needed.
