Freeride

Down to courses >>
Freeriding is the 'Fine Art' of snowsports performance! When the ride becomes more than just a simple journey from A to B, but about what happens in between.

The McNab Freeride courses are all about you learning and understanding the essential techniques that you need in order to take your performance to the next level. This is where you learn the real ‘Science’ and the ‘Art’ behind perfect Ski and Snowboard technique and create the solid technical foundations that are essential both for your general freeriding and for all our other courses.

FR_1.jpg
From Piste performance to Powder perfection.

Included in this section are our popular 'Freeride' Technical Performance Ski and Snowboard Clinics and 'Off piste' Performance Ski and Snowboard Clinics both based in Chamonix during the winter, Zermatt and Les Deuz Alpes Pre season.

We recommend our Technical Performance Clinics to everyone no matter their experience or level of ability and strongly suggest that you benefit from attending one before joining either our Freestyle or Backcountry Ski and Snowboard program.

Neil McNab has been an International ISIA Ski Teacher since 1991 and pretty much wrote the book on modern day Snowboard technique, not just literally with his book "Go Snowboard' but he was also technical advisor to BASI ( British Association of Snowsports Instructors) in the development of the British Snowboard Teacher training program developing the technical progression that has now become the standard progression used by many of the National Snowboard Instructor training programs through out the world.

Please read our Choosing a Course & Course Prerequisits section to see which course is right for you.

Please note that Specialist Avalanche safety equipment is mandatory for our Freeride courses but not included. Avalanche safety equipment can be rented from us at a small additional cost payable at the time of your course, for more details click here -
Mandatory Freeride course equipment.
