Kommunity Summer Camps

Every year the 'Kommunity Summer camps’ bring together riders of all levels, with interests in all disciplines from all of the UK for great riding, expert coaching and all round summer fun.

The ‘Kommunity snowboard camps’ program started out in 1995 and is our largest and longest running snowboard camp.

We started our Kommunity camps program with the idea, as it said in our first ever brochure; ‘to bring like minded snowboarders together, to ride, learn and play together, friends will be made, good times will be had and our Kommunity will grow’. Today the Kommunity ideal has changed very little and whilst after 12 years we are a little more organized than we where in those early days, the style and theme of the Kommunity snowboard camps remains pretty much the same as it did when we first began.

The Kommunity camps are our only camp where we offer coaching to all levels of rider in a variety of different disciplines during the same camp. As such one of the great things about the Kommunity Snowboard camps is the variety of  abilities and interests of the riders that attend them.


From your first air to first rail, Kommunity covers it all.

Whilst primarily Freestyle and ‘Park and Pipe’ based, the Kommunity camps also offer coaching in freeride technique for all levels of rider allowing friends and couples of varying abilities the chance to holiday together whilst snowboaring with groups of riders of their own ability or with the same interests and goals.

The Kommunity Summer sessions.

The Kommunity ‘Summer’ camps, running through out July, are based in the French resort of Les Deux Alpes, a haven for summer outdoor activities both on and off the snow and offer the best of a winter and summer holiday all rolled into one.


The L2Alpes summer glacier is one of Europes biggest.

In Les Deux Alpes the glacier at 3600m is host to one of the largest summer Snowboard Parks in Europe with a multitude of Kickers, Rails and Half Pipes designed for all levels of rider. The wide, easy angled pistes adjacent to the ‘Snow Park’ offer riders of all abilities the opportunity to fine tune their Freeride techniques before venturing into the ‘Park’ to explore the ‘fine art’ of ‘Freestyle riding’.

Summer riding takes place in the mornings through until around 1pm or 2 pm after which our ‘Off snow’ activities take over.

The ‘Off Snow’ activities available in Les Deux Alpes are numerous with everything from sun bathing by the pool for those that prefer to relax after a hard mornings riding to downhill Mtn biking, white water rafting or bungy jumping 120m out of a cable car for those with the adrenalin craving or the energy for more. Our team activities, football, beach volleyball, golf and Beach football help bring the Kommunity together and loosen off those tired limbs before you retire to the bar for well earned refreshment.

Coaching at the ‘Kommunity camps’ is provided by some of the best in the business with many of the top names in British snowboarding at hand to offer their tips and advice.

Over the years, almost all the top names in British Snowboarding have coached on a Kommunity camp whilst many of the current British Pro riders actually started out their careers by attending one and are now back to pass on the knowledge they have gained to other up and coming hopefuls or those  simply wanting to refine their skills and learn from the best.

Accommodation in Les Deux Alpes is provided in our own hotel only a short walk from the main access lift, the Jandri Express and right in the center of the town.
